weekend activities

  • if you have nothing planned, what do you do on a typical weekend?...outside of football season, because most weekends are spent in front of the tv in the fall.

    do you go out shopping, biking, exercising, jump in the car and go random places, clean, yardwork?

    it's rare that we don't have plans for an entire weekend that if we have one day with no obligations we may typically go to lunch...if we haven't done our grocery shopping we will do that...otherwise we hang out around the house..maybe do some random cleaning/yardwork.

    The good days. It sucks because I wish the bars were 19, but then at the same time, I'd be more broke than I am. I actually usually go work out and play basketball or frisbee or volleyball with some friends depending on the weather. I go home sometimes or I just clean up. Random things to pass the time until I have to study.

    i was pretty lucky. i usually had a roommate that was of age. when I moved to Cedar Rapids, i turned 18 that summer...there was a place that let 18 year olds in at the time called bleachers. the last time i went there thought, the police came in hard that night. i saw one of them walk right behind me and went straight towards one of my roommates...i set my beer down before i got busted and we left shortly after. I guess when the cop got done writing my roommate the ticket, he told him to not go back in there, there was going to be big trouble there that night. I don't think it was open too much longer after that.

    . other than that, once i turned 19, it was Iowa City or various other bars in the area that let 19 year olds in. i got drunk many a night at the bars before i turned 21

  • I'm grilling a few filets right and some zucchini and then will head over to tailgate later for the Chicago Fire game with my buds.

    Typically, grilling out of the deck and sharing a few adult beverages is my weekend plan.

    Side note: I finally made it back here after weeks of business travel. On my most recent trip I flew into Louisville, drove through WV and most of OH. On my flight back to Chicago I flew through Columbus, on our plane was a young man wearing a Hawkeyes cap!

  • A weekend without anything planned? what is that? If we have a weekend free my wife often plans for us to go to a baseball game or something. I don't mind, as I love baseball.

    Sometimes I'll decide to go play some disc golf or something like that. Or drink. Drinking's good.

  • I soend what time I can with the wife because we hardly see each other all week. But she usually works at 3 on the weekends so after that I play ps3 and chat with you mofos
