  • You can get a Chevy Equinox for under 20k. Good gas mileage too. I used to sell them when I was in Iowa and I really liked them when I drove them around.

  • Currently own a Honda CRV.

Things are loud, underpowered, and expensive all things considered.

Get a mini van. Ive used 4 wheel drive <1% of my driving miles living in Iowa. Less maintenance.

  • I'd suggest a Pilot, Santa FE, V6 Highlander, or as mentioned a van.

I could help you out if you're in the DSM area. Just let me know.

  • I don't want to derail this thread, but it's not worth its own and Honda doesn't post all that much and I was thinking about this recently.

HH, does everyone in your profession smoke cigs? Just an observation I've made over the years. Seems like a much higher percentage in that profession than most.

Brad could probably answer that too, with his experience in RV's.

2 of the 3 places that I've worked at don't really get on the cigs.

One guy at the Honda store in Wloo (now CF) ..out of 8

Half of the douche bags at John Deery in CF

Only one guy at the Hyundai store I'm currently at (out of 10)

I went to Hyundai for a lot of reasons. One of which is that they're numbero uno of all of the other makes in terms of fuel mileage (warranty, value, styling, and pay plan were the other factors).

Oh, and I hate the Stew Hansen on Hickman, but that's for another thread and had nothing to do with the sales people.

Honestly when I started almost everyone smoked from the shop to sales, Now maybe 4 out of the whole store and we are a lot bigger than we were then. And only 1 sales smokes now and it used to be all of em

I shall look ya up when it is time. She wants a rice grinder so that takes out all of my hook ups. A woman I work with husband is the sales manager at the Chevy store in Ames, and the place in town that has always gave me great deals because he wants me to work for him is also Chevy. I personally will never buy a Honda for myself, but she can do what she wants

I'm at a entirely different store, Perk. I too hate those who are up the hill (I'm at the old Holmes Honda/Hyundai store). You're talking about the Dodge store. yes?
