You have no favorite boards.
It seems they know the basic rules, but clearly they are not used to the speed of the game at this level. They also have let some games get out of control. I hope the NFL settles with the ref's and soon. What are your thoughts?
I wasn't watching all that closely, but what I saw they looked pretty lost out there.
I heard a funny bit on the morning radio this am. The local host was talking about, never mind the teachers strike in Chicago...we need to get a more important labor dispute settled. The NFL ref's.
as a falcon fan, i don't know if I can be happy about that win last night with the clusterf*** that took place on the field last night by the zebras...although i would've liked to see more points on the board as a result of Mannings turnovers in the first. that game should've been put away in the first half and not have been that close in the last quarter.
also, i didn't know pass interference was reviewable....holy crap those refs suuuuucked
Turrible. Absolutely turrible.
It is certainly not difficult to tell the difference between the pros and the fill ins. One minute a receiver gets mugged and no pass interference is call and on the next play almost unnoticeable contact gets called. Absolutely no consistency. Hate to be a whiney butt but those guys need to go and the real guys return. Give them a bonus for filling in, pat them on the ass and send em packing.
It's been pretty bad. Hopefully they can catch on to the speed of the game soon. The NFL should just come to an agreement and get it over with.
Once again the NFL showing how greedy they are. Get it solved, with the amount of money they have, it's not hard to figure out. These new guys are lost, and I can't wait until I can hear people complain about the regular refs sucking again.
Please get the real refs back next week.
They are terrible.
"I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion" - Fran McCaffery.
Well the NFL is unapologetic and stubbornly refusing to give in on this issue. Turning a blind eye to the problem the NFL is planning on more training tapes and conference calls to solve the issue.
"We are going to continue to do everything possible to raise the level of performance of the current officials," through training tapes, conference calls and meetings, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Wednesday.
League wants officials to crack down on unnecessary roughness fouls
the Falcon broncos game was brutal.
