Would this be crazy?

  • Ok drinking, asking questions here again. Sorry I do this.

    I need a 2nd job and Casey's is looking for an assistant manager. I worked at Casey's for five years while I was in school and a while after. I never would take a supervisor position because I didn't want it to be my problem. But... I need the money, I really wanted to wait until after Christmas to apply there but with this open I will now.

    My question is, would it be crazy to have two jobs full time " management" jobs? At daycare I'm classified full time but I'm only required to work 20-40 hours. Usually I work 30, except in the summer I only work two ten hour days but I may not cut back as much anymore. So typically it would only be around 70 hours for both.
    I love my job now so I'm not worried about stress and I did enjoy Casey's back in the day but I'm in my 30s (gross) now so it may not be fun for me anymore. Should I just apply for pizza cook instead because I would enjoy just doing pizzas or should I go for ass man? I just don't want to be burnt out for my kids and my daycare kids, but I feel like its completely possible. I am pretty sure I would get the position because the district manager is my neighbor and the store manager has asked me in the past to come back as assistant. But, I'm rambling. Pizza cook or Assistant manager?

  • I've really been looking forward to Christmas break with the family. I don't want to give it up especially if I'm about to start seeing less of my kids. I'm probably making a bad choice here but I'm not applying for anything until after Christmas.

  • I applied to be a pizza/subs/cashier and I start after the first of the year. My friend applied for the Assistant Manager position and she needs it so that helped make my decision. I'm glad I didn't have to give up my Christmas break! Now I can enjoy it and be a bum.

    What is this garbage about your days being over at 31. Hell I got more action in my 30's than I did in my 20's.! And that is saying something believe me. Women hit their sexual prime in their 30's darlin!

    I decided to not do apply for assistant manager. My friend lost her job Thursday and applied for that. She really needs it and I also don't think she will stay long so this way I still get to be a lazy face for Christmas break. I start in January.

  • Pizza cook is not a bad gig. Sorry Misty but you can't get away with that pitty pot "I'm 31 so my best years are over" kinda stuff with a 'real' old fart in the house. I'll be 63 on the 7th, more than twice your age and I still think I can bang with the best even if I can't.
