Worst hawkeye poster group? HN, HI, HC, or HR

  • Who's the dumbest, or most annoying or whatever board you've been on?

    HawkeyeReport (rivals), HawkeyeNation (JDMiller), HawkeyeInsider (scout/ROBhoweDOiHAVEaPRESSpass), or Hawkcentral?

    My vote is HN. I like Miller but his regulars are bad. ThunderHawk, DuffMan, HoffaHawk, GhostofBTT, etc are posters Im glad never made it over here

  • I like HN, but I agree. Its not possible to hold a real conversation about sports over there because every thread turns into a pissing match or a contest to see who can post the "funniest" comment. Plus, their humor tends to suck.

  • Only know about this board and HN and the now defunct HC. Went to those last two with some frequency over a number of years. Since HC is gone, I won't beat the dead horse. HN: Jon gets some good info out there; he has some regular contributors like Jared Claus and another guy (game film) who does really intelligent analysis...must be intelligent because he leaves me in the dust with some technical info! (and, I love it!) You are right on: There are HN posters who think they are comedians. Some spend most of their time misspelling Kirk Ferentz name just to be smart. KF's salary is a constant source of attacks (warning: I don't really care what KF makes, since not one tax dollar goes to his salary) Personal insults are a continuing theme. Not so subtle disgusting racial, age-related, and sex related biases show up frequently. And, they are not the good natured stuff I see on this board. I get a chuckle out of this off topic stuff. The VOH board could use a little more analysis, but I do like the way Todd contributes and some of the posters have taught me some neat new stuff about the hawks x's and o's.

  • Got booted off HI but did like most of their poseters. As far as P.O.S posters I have found HR to have some of the worst and most nasty insulting assholes I have ever encountered on line. VOTHOT, on the other hand, as a pasture of pleasure compared to HR.

  • I have really only spent time on Rivals and here. I have briefly checked out Miller's site and HaLo. I really didn't want to stick around there. Rivals really wasn't bad if you could put up with all the bs. And there was a lot. There were a few pretty good posters but you just had to put up with so much crap there it really isn't worth it IMO.

  • You're absolutely right Morrison, much much to much B S. Lots of insults thrown about, the Havasu's of the world in abundance and some out and out jerks. I rarely go there anymore. Maybe once or twice a week.

  • I've been to HI, HN. and HR. I only have about 50 posts on HR and a few hundred on HN. I have the most on HI. There are good posters and bad posters on every site. I guess I found the HR board to be a little more cliquish than some of the others, but more than that I'm just not a fan of their format. I don't mind a good argument with someone as long as it's based on fact or informed opinion, but when it spirals down into personal attacks that's when I usually move on.

  • the football board was getting intolerable over on HR. there was a huge, unhealthy obsession with nebraska on that board. sure, the nebraska trolls didn't help...but when many posts were about nebraska shrug.

    other than that, it was the same meltdowns when they lose, the "we haz an awesome" when they win...and the typically peeing matches that ensue as a result of either one of those scenarios
