Healthcare always drew me and I wanted to work with athletes, so I originally wanted to do athletic training. But I had a great chemistry teacher in high school that kept pushing me to take higher sciences and anatomy. Once I took anatomy, the human body really fascinated me and I still really wanted to be in healthcare, so I went in to college as pre-med. After taking more courses, shadowing, and volunteering, I still really wanted to do it. So I applied, and luckily I landed somewhere.

The best advice I ever got in regard to med school was-if you can see yourself doing something else, do something else. It's interesting material, but the amount of it, the rate it comes at you, the pressure of getting good scores, it all wears on you.

Starting Tuesday I'll have 6 exams in 8 days (4 written tests and 2 big practicals). By far the worst week of school so far. But i'll get a couple months off here in a few weeks.

I have no idea what your folks do, but any clue if their business needs a dapper young gentlemen for the summer?

I'm up for about anything, save construction. Can't risk an industrial accident busting up a hand. Makes suturing and fapping difficult.

Never bartended, poured a few drinks, though.

There may be internships, but I've never really found anything. You can volunteer and shadow, but none of it is paid.
