Some months ago back at HI Bleed, myself, NChawk, Bluzman, and a few others decided to revive the OT board over there. Our mantra was not quantity, but quality of poster. It caught on and for a while we had a really good thing going. It was a nice virtual community and we all got along great. As word leaked out more and more people joined in and the HIOT board was officially revived. Then an undesirable came and single handedly ruined it for everyone. So I guess what I'm saying is more does not equal better. This board has become somewhat of a safe haven for castoffs from other boards and seems to have a really good chemistry going. So be careful what you wish for...

I get that and dig it, but some of us are from hrot. It's pretty fast moving so that's what we are use to. It's kind of weird making a post and waiting 15 minutes for a response. Growing will bring some problems, but it would also bring some major positives IMO.

I absolutely agree that it will bring positives, growth in and of itself is not a bad thing. But enjoy the people who are here now and build a good foundation. Growth will follow as a natural byproduct. Rome wasn't built in a day (sorry for the cliche).

Hopefully VOH won't take any advertising from GameDay Iowa. It was GameDayRon who destroyed it over there, and since he was an advertiser the mods were powerless to do anything about his reign of terror. It was like HI had sold their soul to the devil for the advertising dollar.

i will say that it seems pretty cool that all these people who got runoff from other boards (or just got tired of the BS) have found a good place to chill here.

but, you got to also look at some of the things that made that place fast moving. Most of the topics that made that place as fast moving as it was are not allowed here.
