Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.

  • Battlestar Galactica

I wish they would have kept going/just not had the ending they had.

Also Seinfeld. Thats probably the one I miss the most.

The problem I had with 24 was it started out great then went completely horrible for a couple season, had a nice finish though.

I never got into Seinfeld. I think I have maybe watched 5 full episodes.

It definitely didn't stay up with how good the first few seasons were, but I still loved that show.

Ya I think they ended it at the right time as to not drag out ways for Jack to save us all but I still miss it. I miss Cheers too (even though it hasn't been on in a long long time.

That's cool. I'd hang there. The one in Boston is nothing like the one in the show.

I've heard from several people that show was really good and they were surprised it got cut.

two shows that were cancelled way too soon: jericho and the black donnellys...both are on netflix. there have been talks that netflix is trying to bring jericho back from the dead and air the show exclusively on netflix. i really hope this happens.

I loved Jericho. I dig that post apocalyptic theme. That would be sick if netflix did that.

  • I agree with Brad that as of next week, House. It's one of my favorite shows and I watch it every time I see it on tv. Another one that I liked was Blue Mountain State, it was pretty outrageously dumb, but I laughed my ass off watching more than one of the episodes. It's biggest problem was going to be finding a replacement for Thad though or somehow implementing him in the show which may have been possible if they claimed he had a career ending injury and joined the BMS coaching staff.

Agreed. And allowing a provider like Showtime, HBO, CineMax, Starz, or HDNet to continue it would allow for some skin, a great comedy with some boobs would get viewers like crazy.

I also would add Der, I love Thad humor so coming back as a coach after a injury would be ideal but this show failed at something for its long term stability and that was introducing a freshman. Kids are going to graduate, so you gotta keep the cast awesome and allowing the viewer to see a character for five years(redshirt) would not make it such a hard transition from leaving Thad, Sammy the Mascot, & a underachieving QB Alex Moran. Hell you could sign some big name, up & coming, young actor for three years and just put him in the plot as 3 years than goes pro. Or two year contract (person transfers or fails out).

I still can't believe BMS wasn't picked up for the last season. Sure I didn't watch it 'live' but that was one show I had to DVR.

It also didn't help that Shilo got arrested for drug possession or something in real life and got immediately cut from the show after the first season. It was a pretty decent job getting what's his name at QB though, he did a pretty good job in his one season as well. You're right though that they did a terrible job of bringing in newer guys to could keep the show going with a guy like Thad providing a longer presence.

    a) You can go straight to hell!

    b) First season of FOTC was unbelievable, but I never made it through the second season and can see why it got cut.

I've been going through the Arrested Development series again, and it's just ridiculously good. However, thinking forward to the last season, getting cut maybe did the show a favor to avoid lingering past its prime (*ahem* The Office, Parks & Rec, It's Always Sunny)
