What are your thoughts on the NBA?

Another big win for the Celtics. Jason Terry is starting to hit clutch shots much more frequently, which was why Boston signed him in the first place. I really don't understand how the national media continues to immediately dismiss this team as a legit title contender, or at least to come out of the East. No one matches up as well with Miami as the Celtics do right now, as Boston is well-equipped to make things much more difficult for Wade and James than other teams can. Assuming both teams are healthy, I don't think Miami wins that series in less than seven games, if at all.

Well I will be rooting for everyone vs Miami so I hope you're right. Bulls won vs Jazz on a late 3 by Belinelli. Hopefully he shows up in the playoffs unlike Kyle Korver who disappeared for The Bulls. Just wake me when D Rose is back.

That's a nice win for Chicago. Once Rose comes back, do you think the team might struggle a bit on the court trying to reintegrate him into the lineup?

Oh yeah there is still some time for him to gel at least a little bit with the team. But if he comes back he has to soon otherwise it's pointless. I've been hearing next week. But they have some good pieces for him to work with. Belinelli should get some more open 3's, Noah should be more loose on the offensive boards. Boozer will be Boozer. Bulls need Taj Gibson back and Kirk Hinrich back soon too. When they are healthy they are right at the top. But they can't stay healthy at all.

Lol that's fine. Kobe's been on an absolute roll lately, I'm kinda looking forward to see what he does against the Bulls defense.

Taj tore his MCL he has been out a while now. Kirk has played well when he is healthy but the dude is made of glass. He gets hurt comes back, gets hurt comes back. I remember he lit you guys up last time. I willlol if Nate Robinson does the same thing to you guys this time. They need to get Rose back and get him playing with Belenilli in the back court.

  • Geez Jimmy Butler, Kobe going to go off now.

"I'm not even worried about that, man," Butler says. "I'm not the Kobe stopper. We as a team are."

CHICAGO -- Jimmy Butler doesn't want to even hear the words. Kobe stopper, a voice says. He sheepishly turns his head and looks the other way w

I'm gonna have to say no on this one. Not because I think LA will lose, but because I've always found signature or avatar bets a bit silly.

He has been a pretty damn cheap good pick up for The Bulls. I love him when he is hot hate him when he keeps chucking and missing. Bulls need Rose back period. Hinrich would help too but man they just can't score. Boozer needs to get hot again.

  • Have you seen Noah play much Mclovin or whoever? Everyone seems to talk about getting Rose a #2 player but don't you think Noah can be that? I know he isn't an elite scorer but he is hitting his jumper more and more. I think he will be up for defensive player of the year award. I think if The Bulls are healthy they are really damn talented and can hang with anybody. But they just can't stay healthy and who knows what will happen with Rose.

Absolutely not. Noah is a hustle player, and a good one at that, but they need to get someone else for Rose. Boozer sure as hell isn't that guy. Jordan and Rodman couldn't have gotten it done by themselves without Pippen, and Rodman averaged just less than Noah does for ppg, and Rodman had a 7 year span when he averaged over 15 boards per game, and 2 of the years it was over 18 a game. Noah has yet to average over 11/game. However, I know you won't pay attention to any of this because "you don't look at stats."

No I don't. Like I said he is starting to hit the open jumper more you should have seen a couple of those today. When Rose is back it will free him up more to go after offensive rebounds and teams will give him that 10 foot jumper all day like they do now. He is getting more of a post game. I don't think he will ever be McHale down there but he can improve offensively still, he already has.

Well he can improve on his 10 foot jumpers all day, if he's the #2 option on a team, they will never win a title. Gotta have a 2nd scorer, to go along with Rose, and a hustle player (Noah). I'm giving you an unbiased opinion here Maury, I don't dislike the Bulls at all.

I agree regarding the Houston market. What's strange is that Houston is actually the fourth biggest city in the country behind those three, but a lot of people consider it a small or medium-sized market. The population is much more spread out than in NYC, LA and Chicago, but it's still a huge city.

Its also the most fair weather fanned city ever. When the teams are good, sold out and impossible to get a ticket. When they're bad, free tickets and incentives to go. Crazy.

I think you are selling Noah short. He has shown he can score 20+ points in games and gets double doubles all day. He is far more than a hustle player. He is also the best passing center in the league. It will be interesting to see what happens when Rose comes back. I just hope we don't have to wait until next year to find out. The Bulls also have a couple other pieces that have been contributing in Belinelli and Butler. I think they can make up for not having a true #2 scoring option with the pieces they have now.....as long as everyone is healthy.

I'm not selling Noah short at all. You say he's shown he can score 20 or more points in games, but yet his highest season average is 11.7. Maury, I'm a stats guy. I'll pay more attention to the stat book, than I will a homer when it comes to talking about players. You seriously can't talk sports without being biased. Noah is NOT a scorer. 6.6, 6.7, 10.7, 11.7, 10.2, and this year so far, with the Bulls star playing being hurt, he's averaging a career high 12.9. Now no offense Maury, but just because he has a 20 point game every now and then means nothing. Those 20 point games, get balanced out with sub-10 point games. He's not a scorer and never will be. At least not until he fixes his jump shot form, that's the ugliest thing I've seen in the NBA since Shaq's free throw form. Not only that, but this year he's shooting under 50% from the field, that's not very good AT ALL for a post player.

You have to have at least one more scoring THREAT, in case your main guy is having a bad game. Sure the Bulls have threats, but they're not guys that can do it regularly. Boozer is a weak spot in that roster. He's getting paid wayyy too much money to be average in the playoffs.
