Western Iowa Hawks

  • Is your hatred for the Huskers as strong as most people seem to have from that area? Growing up in central Iowa, I didn't have to deal with them much, but there seems to be some seriously strong feelings from Hawks in that area.

  • I hate the Huskers more than any other team. Guys like yakman and shocker make it a bit harder to hate them, but then I just think back to growing up around all the bandwaggoners during the 90s and the continued arrogance of some of their fans over on rivals and it brings the hate right back.

    I also really dislike the cyclones and it doesn't pain me when they lose. I don't really hate Wisconsin, but a ton of the kids at school went to WIsc (or one of the other public schools in wiscy) so its especially fun when we beat them.

    Really? That seems odd that a lot of them went to Wisconsin. I think I knew 1 person that went to school in Wisconsin and it was Marquette. My class was 4 or 5 hundred students, so it wasn't small.

  • Yeah, med school has a bunch of kids from Iowa, WIscy, Minny, Illinois, and believe it or not, a bunch from the Utah/Nevada/Idaho area.

    Oh, I misread your post. I thought you were saying a ton of kids from your high school in Sioux City went to college in Wiscy.
