Don't read if you don't know what's currently happening in the show. Ok? Well that' just grand. So I finally watched the first episode the other night. And JS no funky comic book spoilers or whatever you were talking about.
I really liked Brommy's blog by the way. I'm kind of disappointed the mysterious hooded katana person, turned out to be some mother with a couple of zombie kids in tow. I had somehow envisioned that being a leader of some group that was in the prison. But it was just zombies in the prison. I really enjoyed the episode. And I didn't even realize the people they found at the end were prisoners, like Brommy pointed out.
And seriously what happened to the black guy early on? Where the hell is he?

I did notice that and wondered. But how could I have gotten that from the show so far? You and this comic thing!
I don't want to know that stuff. I was guessing it was some family so it's not that big of a deal. \

I think he did it for 2 reasons. 1, because he knows that a group like that could easily take out his band of trained misfits. 2, because that's his main way of collecting weapons, ammo, food, and supplies. It came off to me that it wasn't his first time taking down a well stocked group like that.

He had some decent trained killers. Plus whatelse they could, he killed that helicopter pilot. Just seemed dumb. I would've took them in and gave them a wall to guard. In stead we got typical dumb blondie following the wrong man again.

I think Darryl kind of likes the group and likes that older mom that keeps hitting on him. Merle is a head case and probably will want to murder Rick and I dont think Darryl will be too cool with that.
It will be interesting. Darryl will be happy to see his brother but I dont think he'd go for being one of the Governors puppets. I also dont see Merle fitting in with Ricks crew. Its going to be a war regardless, Governor is a headcase.
