  • Not much harm picking him up as a UDFA. If he doesn't turn around, cut him. No loss there. He's too good to pass up as a UDFA though.

    I actually agree with Fish here - nothing at all to lose with this move. And if slipping completely out of the draft wasn't enough of a wake-up call for him, then nothing will be.

    I have seen him play a little, he's a penalty machine. Kid is dumb as hell and obviously refuses to play disciplined. I'm not saying he can't be decent if he quits getting flagged for 15 yard unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties every game. At least you aren't risking much.

    That's the way I see it too. This is a low risk high reward pick up. Many experts dubbed him a first round talent this season. As you alluded to though, he needs to become much more disciplined on and off the field for him to amount to anything in the NFL.

Watching the draft, they implied that the ASU coaching staff pretty much gave him very poor reviews to the NFL teams. Hope he takes this as a wake-up call and turns his career around.

    Brandon Spikes didn't have nearly as much issues as Burfict did at ASU. Granted Spikes did test positive for marijuana once or twice, including I think at the combine.

    I agree, but was just mentioning that to point out that Burfict's 40 time wasn't the only reason he slid like he did.

    Completely agree with you, and that's why it's such a huge red flag. Knowing you're going to get tested and the negative implications a positive test will have, it makes no sense how someone can let that happen. Either shows they have a legitimate problem or they just aren't taking the process seriously.
