I really hope they do stop the flopping. I actually agree with Kobe when he said that was a chump move.(cough cough Miami Heat cough cough)

I hate the flopping as well, and am glad that the league wants to do something about it. However, the rule they've presented is unbelievably vague, which is extremely unfair to the players and to the refs themselves. For the rule to stand, there will need to be much clearer guidelines for what can and can't be done. But as I typed that, I remembered that David Stern is still running the show, so anything's possible.

I'm pumped for basketball season. As a Hawkeyes, Dolphins, and Lakers fan, winter will likely be much more exciting than fall this year. I'm hoping the Lakers can find a nice mix between chemistry and rest for their aging legs. I think it will be quite a year in the West, but I can't see anyone other than the Heat having a chance in the East at this point.

If they can enter the playoffs fully healthy, I think the Celtics have as good of a shot as anyone to beat Miami. Would love to see another Celtics-Lakers showdown in the Finals. Minus the 723 free throws in the fourth quarter of Game 7 this time!

So I'm watching the Lakers first preseason game, and it's incredibly weird seeing Kobe and Nash on the same team. I like it a lot.
