Top 10 Hottest Hot Sauces

  • Gimme some of these. Love myself some really spicy hot sauce. Well, there's a few on the list I think I'd be scared of.

Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.

  • Good lawd. 16 million scoville units? I like spicy, but some of those sound like they wouldn't have any flavor at all except pain.

  • I need to turn my mancard in where hotsauce is concerned. Dont really like too much more than say a "medium" at buffalo wild wings

Yeah, there's a few on there that I'd actually really like to try. But then there's a few, including #1 that I have a hard time believing have any taste whatsoever. It'd just be like adding liquid fire to whatever you're putting it on, then you can't breathe for the next day.

  • I picked up some stuff called "Sphincter Shrinker" in Austin once that was about 2M Scoville Units. A few drops in a pot of chili would elevate the hot a LOT. I touched some to my tongue once and it was not a smart move.

I guess I have to turn mine in as well. I enjoy spicey foods, but I don't care for the heat to over power the flavor. I eat Tabasco on numerous things, and I also like Cholula sauce. But those are mild in comparison to these sauces. I ate two habanero peppers once and I felt them travel through my whole system, burning all the way, and some of these sauces are hotter still. I didn't enjoy that experience so I'm not likely to shoot for a top ten hot sauce.

  • Found this gem while traveling this winter. Puts BWW Blazin' to shame.

It uses the scotch bonnet pepper which is a relative of the habenero.

A little history on the Scotch Bonnet - fisherman used to smash them up and put them on the bottom of their boats to keep barnacles from attaching. Yes, it is absolutely true,

Balancing the heat and flavor is a concern. I don't eat crazy hot stuff like I used to, but that was always the issue. I wanted it spicy, but you still want to taste the underlying flavor.

  • I don't like blistering hot hot sauce, but I like spicy food and sauces.

I got this stuff in Jamaica and it is a really nice blend of pretty hot, hot sauce and flavor.
