It has been a core sport since the first modern Olympics in Athens took place, how in the hell can you scrap it, for tae kwan do, or field hockey ? That really pisses me off.

aren't there enough other garbage made up olympic sports that have been added over the years that could be scrapped instead?

Well, first the international body ruined freestyle with the rule changes that made it into the boring farce that it is today. Then, they eliminated weight classes. I guess this was the natural progression but I'm mad as hell.

And they are adding golf? For cripes sake, golf is something you do when you drink beer! Wrestling is something that requires a finely tuned mind and body.
