  • I rarely post in it and it seems to draw a ton of the posts. I think that we could get more posters if there was more posting all over the place instead of in one thread. Personally, I'm not going to go through that and waste my time reading it just to catch up and post in it.

He is one individual who can verify the veracity of many of my weird stories. He was around (I was with him the night I ended up drunk and puking on a picnic table at Boy Scout camp) to watch my abject insanity for many, many years.

    Every time I try to get my friends to post they make fun of me. I think if they would just give it a chance they would like it and would be a good addition but they wont do it.

    Yes, I've tried that tact and it hasn't worked yet. He is a rather cautious type. I think that is one of the reasons we ran around together (he is 4 years older than me and we first met when I was 14) because he enjoyed the nuttyness but didn't have to participate. He could just sit back, sip scotch and watch the whirling drunken dervish he ws hanging out with. I'll keep after him. Like Misty said, I know he would enjoy it if he just gave it a chance.

    I think I'm kind of like that. But the thing that made me sign up to post on an Iowa internet message board in the first place was being able to vote in a poll. I had to sign up to vote in a poll. I have no idea why 247 doesn't have polls. I'm not saying that will get a bunch of people to post. But it got me to start posting and I haven't looked back since. I just don't get why it's that hard to have polls here? shrugsoapbox
