The worst company in America

  • This makes me so I happy. I might just cry.

The Voters Have Spoken: EA Is Your Worst Company In America For 2012! - The Consumerist

Whether it's on a console, a PC, a smartphone or tablet, hundreds of millions of people play video games every day. Yet most mainstream media covers the industry the same way it treats adult dodge ball leagues and cat fashion shows (both noble ventures, but neither of them multi-billion dollar industries). And the only time you hear legislators discuss video games is when some politician decries them as the death knell for all things righteous in the world (hint: they're not). Now, after years of being ignored and relegated to steerage, game-players have voted to send a message to Electronic...

  • I use Bank of America, and don't exactly love it, but I'm pretty surprised they got second in this poll. Honestly, the worst company I've ever dealt with is Sprint, and it's not even close.

  • I don't own any gaming systems, as I'd literally never get anything done, but I do play enjoy playing video games at other peoples' houses. But because of that, I've never really dealt with any of those companies as a consumer.

I'd heard that, but I was more referring to my personal dealings with them.

lol I'd spend 15 hours a day on NCAA '12 trying to win the National Championship with a created team of me and my former Wooster teammates. Definitely not a good idea for me to own any of that stuff.

  • I'm happy with this decision for worst company. They deserve it for coming up with NCAA Football 12 and making my Road to Glory team punt the ball on 1st and Goal, and for just being a pretty badly made game in general. I actually like NCAA 09 WAY WAY WAY more than any of the others since. I'd still put a whooping on the Todd and his Wooster team though. biggrin

Really? The customer service or what? I've had Sprint for years and have never had a problem with them. I guess I've never really dealt with them much, though. I've only changed my plan a few times, and it was a couple clicks online and done.

  • EA has gone downhill ever since the $20 ESPN 2k (ie: ESPN NFL 2K5) came in and kicked their moon. Instead of making thier games better, they bought out excusive rights to eliminate the competition, and pretty much it seems like you are just paying for updated rosters ever since.

  • EA ruined the NCAA basketball franchise, almost ruined the baseball one (thank god I own a ps3 and can play The Show), made the worst basketball game ever (thank god 2k can make a decent basketball game), and made Madden a total arcade game. Oh, and NCAA football is going downhill fast too. All they have is Fifa and NHL, neither of those are worth a yearly purchase.

I don't think EA has any rights to MLB. it is just 2K and then The Show on PS3. I remember the first year they lost the rights, they came out with NCAA Baseball.

Any place, any time. Your kicker will only be on the field for the opening kickoff of the first or second half, because you definitely won't score. lol

Wow, it was a total nightmare for me, so I recently switched to Verizon. Glad your experience has been much better. The customer service honestly couldn't have been any worse if they tried (people lying, not speaking English, not following through on promises they made, etc.), and I just had a ton of product defects as well.

You haven't met me and my offense yet. I can get WR's open with just about anyone and my RB will find some room eventually.

You can't account for the great Worly though. A 7 foot 400 lb defensive end

lol You're not alone! I had some problems with my internet the other day (again), and while I was on hold (for 45 minutes), I looked online for some user reviews of Mediacom. I was actually cracking up at how horrible some of the reviews were on there.

lol True, I would definitely make myself as good as possible on there, just as everyone does. Not sure if they'll let you make someone Andre the Giant size though, do they?
