I'm a very casual NHL fan, much like my feelings towards the NBA. I don't watch much of the regular season but will catch the playoffs.

I am a great fan of the NHL, especially the Blackhawks. The NHL and the union are taking the life out of the game and destroying fan bases. It is so stupid. When it is all said and done they will probably settle on a deal that could have been gotten in June. It comes down to the classic case of of the league and the teams living off the fans and giving a rats ass about the veiws of the fans who pay their salarys. Will I watch after some sort of deal is struck, probably, but with less entheusiasm.
