Skunky Beer

  • I don't know what it is about the liquor stores near me, I've tried 5 ot 6 different ones, but it seems like every time I buy beer that's not an American light beer it's skunky as f***. I picked up a six pack of Stella Artois to drink while watching some football tonight and I can barely get it down. No more buying beer from liquor stores, I'll just stick to getting it at the grocery store. I haven't had an issue there.

    If a beer company doesn't even care enough about their product to put it in a brown bottle, their product is crap and they don't deserve your money because they don't take pride in it.

    Really, I always think the brown bottle is what I hate about beer. I always expect a mouse in a brown bottle.

    I actually don't know if it's a wives tale or not, but Wolf probably does. People say that green bottles allow too much light in them and makes the beer bad. I'll drink anything.

    I'm tempted to agree 100%, however the Hofbräuhaus I think always uses green bottles (for exporting here at least) and I'm not so sure I'm comfortable saying anyone with the brand recognition they have doesn't care about their product.
