I don't think anybody has ever said they are the greatest band ever. They were the leaders of a major music movement. Yes they weren't the only ones and their were plenty of other bands. But they were definitely leading the charge. And were they that original? I think so but even if you don't what music really is? Most music is influenced by someone that came before them.
