i say this as someone who hasn't gotten to the thread (if it exists) to know what drama is going on....but here goes.
i would say "who gives a flying eff what the ex wife thinks". she is an ex for a reason, and unless her kids are in harm because, then her opinion shouldn't mean jack. but maybe that is not how it works with exes.......
