Terrible lighting and my hair comes in blonde so its hard to see, plus I suck at growing facial hair.

Well buddy, ya gotta do what needs to be done to advance yourself. Nobody faults you for that.

But I did get some leads to follow up on, and ran into somebody I haven't seen in a long time, told him a little about what I went to school for....said they have a department for that, they aren't hiring but took my resume as he said when they do hire, it takes a while to fill those positions

I had to fap, I mean tap out too. Life got me in a rear naked throat slit and then clothed me in a nasty neck brace that makes my neck itch, gave me a rash and is uncomfortable as hell. That, plus the fact I can wash my neck, face or hair yet just made No Shave November more than this ole squiddly can take.

You guys suck and give up too easily. Bluz knows what I'm talking about.

In 1970, after I had completed CTR school and was stationed on Guam, I found myself in the position of taking advantage of the new Naval Directives issued by CNO/ADM "Zoomy" Zumwalt who declaired beards to be acceptable attire for sailors. I immediately started pouring Carling Black Label beeron my face (if anything could grow hair on a cue ball, it was that stuff) in an effort to kick start the awesome beard that was lurking behind my chin. A few months later I was forced to stand a dress uniform (whites thank God) inspection by the newly assigned Admiral at the Naval Communications Station. While standing at rest, CTTMaster Chief Bryan started conducting a preinspection inspection. He and I hated one another's guts. He took notice of my red haired sprig of parsley on tjhe end of my chin and blew a circuit. At that point the Adm came out of the base offices and Chief Bryan didn't have time to throw me out of the inspection line. He mumbled something about making my life hell if the Adm got upset over it. The ADM came down the line making a few generally pleasant comments until he got to me. I could see Chief Bryan behind him frying eggs on his forehead while the ADM just sort of stood and stared. He then walked around behind me and then back to in front of me all the time looking me up one side and down the other side. Finally he gave a little bemused grin, stared at my beard and said said: "Boy, What is that thing?" I responded with: "It's a beard sir!" He then looked me up and down, around the sides and from the back returning to the front with a very similar grin. He then replied, "Well son, it IS on the end of your chin." He then went on with the inspection. The other chief Petty Officers, Warrent Officers and junior officers could not stop their laughter. I don't think many of them had much use for Chief Bryan. That's my beard story and I am sticking to it.

welp, I had no idea who that was, so I had to google it. I'm growing my hair out on top a little bit, so for next week's pic I'll do that little hair flip thing he's got going on and we'll go for an exact match.
