  • I need to go to the police station and pick up a copy of the police report, then go to the city prosecutors office and file an affidavit and sign a misdemeanor arrest warrant. The city prosecutor will have 30 days to review the case and determine if charges should be filed or not. The good news is that one of the city prosecutors is a client of mine.

    Ex BF will not be charged but new GF will be.

    If charges are filed, it's not like a cop is going to stop by her home and arrest her, but she will be arrested the next time she encouters the police.

  • Really really sorry to hear that BBR. FWIW, I think you're going about it the right way involving the police, though I can't fathom how hard it must be to not go to the houses of those cowards and teach them a lesson.

  • I don't know where you are located Beat but most states are similar in regards to my suggestions. It all depends on the ages of the creeps involved. Is the slimy bastard over 18? is your daughter under 18? Is the other girl younger or older that 18?

    My suggestion is that you turn the two in to the DHS/FS/DCFS, etc in your state. He could have child abuse charges by omission for not intervening in the commission of a child abuse. If the bitch is over 18 she could also be charged with child abuse for the assault. Often times when this age group is involved, the police automaticly call DHS if some one over 18 is involved with an abuse of someone under 18.

    Just as an asside, there once was a time when I would have taken great pleasure in tracking this POS down and kicking his ass. However, I had to give that shit up a long time ago. As for now, no I probably couldn't accomplish it anymore. BUT, I do have a spare $50.00 I would willingly donate to a fund gathered to pay for a large brutal individual to look up the young man and stomp his ass. Sometimes "Old School" is just exactly what some one needs. What ever you end up doing man, I see you have a lot of support on here. Go get em!
