Carl's Jr/Hardees has been advertising a new cod sandwich that I bet would be pretty good for fast food. But that's just a guess.

Agreed, but it's probably no worse than a fish stick.

BK has a good fish sandwich.

I've heard this is very common with some types of sushi, like sea bass. They use a very cheap white fish in lieu of the pricy Chilean sea bass.

The breading on these weren't too greasy and had a nice crunch to them. It was very lightly seasoned though without much flavor coming through. There's a little more texture and crunch to these than the breading you find on a Filet-O-Fish (As I look at the picture I took, I'm imaging cheese in the middle of each bite... mmm...)

Inside each piece was a moist and delicately tender piece of whitefish. I was really surprised at how soft and smooth the meat was. Like the breading, there's not too much flavor to it save for the slightest bit of a fishy aftertaste. With the decidedly light flavors, these were definitely meant to be dipped.

Overall, I found McDonald's Fish McBites to be a superior product to last year's Chicken McBites. The pieces of fish came in decent chunks and I didn't find any pieces that were pure batter. Also, the fish is much more tender and juicy than the any pieces of chicken I got in the Chicken McBites. If I actually liked fish, these's a fair bit to like here.

If you like fish, these might be worth a try. They are a little pricey for a snack, but you can always wait until the $1 promotion.
