John Gagliardi retires after 60 years

  • John Gagliardi, the winningest coach in college football history, retired today after 60 years on the job. I attached an article about him, but if you haven't heard much about him, do a few searches online - he's got a very neat approach to coaching.

  • I don't have a clue how he managed to do what he did with those practice techniques. Is ne interested to see film of how he did conduct practice vs. his teams on field performance.

I've read a few stories about him over the years, but I agree with you - I'd be very interested in watching a practice up close. From what I've heard, his players are so unbelievably enthusiastic about everything they do because they never have to do anything that players typically hate. So that's part of it. They obviously get a lot of great players in their program as well, and it likely had a snowball effect where success bred more success.
