Interesting Big Ten proposal

  • What do you think? Initially I didn't like the idea, but after reading the article, I think it could be a wise idea.

Big Ten Proposal Giving More Power to Jim Delany is the Right Move | The Big Lead

The Big Ten is an assembly of partners invested in an enterprise worth billions. Having a strong, centralized authority to ensure all parties act for the collective self-interest is incredibly sensible.

  • I'm gonna agree with Greg Doyle on this one,

"It's understood that conference commissioners have too much power. And Jim Delany wants more? Someone stop that man."

Yeah, I am not going to support it, but I do think it could be a wise idea. But I don't think it would work out like it is supposed to

  • I don't mind the idea of the league having more authority to discipline a member institution, but I disagree with giving Delaney or the B1G authority to fire coaches. That is something that should be handled by the institution and not the league. It becomes a slippery slope when you grant a person too much power.

    Totally agree with that
