  • in one night, but I'm thinking I'm closing in on that number. Stretching out and getting some odd/old stuff and some newer stuff I've had on a list for a while.

    The Knack
    The Kinks
Neil Young - two alblums, Harvest and Rust Never Sleeps
    Chicago
    O.A.R.
    Phish
    Paul McCartney and Wings
Big Head Todd & the Monsters
    Graffiti6
    John Cougar
Francis Dunnery - American Life in the Summertime - I like it.
Lissie - In Sleep - I like it too.

Only $100. This really makes me want to get paid like an ex wife. Will you marry me?

torrent music or download songs straight from youtube. i do use itunes upon occasion if it is like a small band or something, but i'd rather save that 100 bucks for something else haha.

  • I bought Ray Charles' "Genius Loves Company" yesterday off amazon for a like 2.95 including 2 day shipping (amazon prime is swell). Should be here tomorrow. Bought another one for a penny, plus 2.95 for shipping. rockon

Did you read my comment on another thread about BIG TIME DOWN-VOTE?

But hey, stop by my tailgate sometime. 204 Golfview Ave. I'm single ya know. biggrin

  • I only buy hard copies of albums if I like a majority of the songs and/or the artist. If I want just a song or just a few songs, but not the entire album OR I will just listen through it once, I either just listen through Spotify (rarely) or I youtube to mp3, or find a zip file online somewhere. I buy a majority of my music, but never through itunes.

  • I used to use limewire, than frostwire. Now I just buy the mp3's off amazon 95% of the time. It's too expensive if they catch you, it's not worth the risk anymore. Plus I use pandora most of the time when I'm studying anyway.

I did read the down vote but I saw the wink too so I thought it was worth a try.

I did limewire too. But I started buying because of the risk thing. I don't feel like getting caught DLing music.

  • Ok Letsgo and JWolf. I'm learning. Specifics or links would be appreciated. I-tunes is very easy to synch to my i-pods. That's why I like it.

BTW: I received notice today that my i-phone 5 has been shipped. I'm upgrading about 15 generations from a Motorola Flip Phone - the battery was getting shot and you can't get replacements anymore. ;-)

Did I tell ya all I used to be fluent in 5 computer languages in the 80's? Basic, Pasacal, C, Fortran and COBOL. I think at least 4, possibly all 5 are extinct. That's about $1,500 down the tubes (1980's money). That's a lot of i-tunes.

  • amazon is pretty easy to use (and usually a little cheaper than itunes). just look up the album and select "Buy mp3 album". It will probably ask if you want to play it form your amazon cloud drive (whatever that is) or download it. I always select download it. It may want to install an amazon downloader (not a big deal). Then it will download.

My itunes opens and automatically adds those songs to my library. Otherwise, you can select "add folder" and the album folder is within the folder "Amazon MP3" in My Music.

That seems complicated now that I type it out, but it's really pretty easy. Once it's in itunes, plug in the ipod to update and you're down the road.

That sounds like something I could do.
