I think my FIL is a doomsday prepper

So this last weekend I go back home to visit the in laws and help babysit our niece while the other niece has a dance recital(whole story in itself). Well it's Friday night and everyone is in bed but my FIL and myself.
He asks me if I have ever seen the doomsday prepper show on discovery I think. I say no and he puts it on. As I watch there were a bunch of similarities that kept popping up as to how he lives his life.
One of the preps made wine as he felt that would be good currency when paper money is obsolete. FIL made close to 100 bottles of wine last year out of strawberrries they grew in huge garden(also a sign), and he doesn't even drink.
Another prep guy buys lots of silver, FIL actually went to the basement and brought up some pure silver bars.
Has a cellar with tons of canned foods and MRE'S
Has a shooting range on his property, prepper do this to protect land
Discussed buying a ship cargo container. Prep people do this as they make good shelter.
So I am pretty sure I know what's going on now. Personally I think its great that I know what's going on. He has a ton of cool toys and hobbies, and think this will help me bond and understand him more

Pretty sure Clopeck is Hawks_8. I remember when he first came here he said something like, remember that Hawks_8 guy? He was cool.

If he Is hawks 8 that would make sense. He always seemed to dislike me ever since I started a topic on Hrot letting him know I thought he was a worthless poster on the site. That and he kept referring to himself a management at his job. I filled him in that driving his bosse to the airport and them letting you watch the office for an afternoon does not really qualify as management

The thread actually is interesting. I laugh at these people but I would be begging them to let me stay with them. Then I imagine they will be like Haha get lost.

Fair enough, but I don't really see what the issue is. I am not questioning your moderation, but not everyone on message boards are buddy buddy with each other. I will drop it though

I don't expect everybody to love everybody, but when multiple threads get derailed from this same bickering it gets pretty annoying.
