All I did was post two semi-pr0n links, no pictures up front, and he banned a two year paying customer? Now I know I still broke the rules but that was the first time ever I had done anything on that level. Thinking about opening an account here in April when i'm not laid off.

hrot has been awful since a lot of people either were banned or left but i don't think tk cares. there wasn't much money being made with random fun posters on an off topic board. that being said tk seriously needs to work on his customer relationship skills. i was really really close to subscibing over there but after a couple of email conversations with tk i was not pleased with how i was treated by him and talked down to. so paying my hard earned money? not happening.
also, tk will claim the moderation has been the same that it always has been, the rules the same etc but i know for a fact things tightened up in the last 12-16 months over there. just go to the legendary board and check out the girls in jerseys thread. that kind of thread would never be allowed today. 2 or 3 (and many years before)years ago people would do milestone posts of girls without fear of getting the thread deleted or banned. it was very common. at some point that changed and why places like baylor and western michigan happened.
i hate to take swings at tk on here because i know brommy is still friends with him but i'm just giving my 2 cents.

Here's the thing, though. As popularity increases, the broader audience is going to expand, meaning more kids, parents, etc. TK has to keep things PG as part of a large, popular website that is part of a larger national network. He has a relatively light hand compared to some other boards. But it will never be as free-wheeling as something like Black Heart Gold Pants, for example. It's just an outcome of corporate ownership.
And you have to admit that the W. Michigan stuff was way over the line. Frankly, I'm surprised repercussions weren't swifter.
As this board grows and expands, it too will likely succumb to the need to be more PG and family-friendly, especially if it is bought out by a large corporate entity like Rivals was. That's just BAU everywhere.
I had lunch with TK a few weeks ago, and believe it or not, he really gets a kick out of the off topic folks and their shenanigans for the most part (with whiners being the minority that annoy him). But he's running a business and he's not going to risk damaging it by indulding some folks desire for R-rated conted, etc.
