How would you like to be compensated for...

  • Carnival Crusie ship being broken down and out at sea for 5 days with barely any electricity, no plumbing for 80% of the time, questionable clean water to drink, no A/C, no cell phone reception, limited cold foods, 3 hour waits in line for food, 1 hour waits in line for when the toilets do work, plus an additional 7 hour bus trip to airports.

    They currently are handing out a refund, plus a free cruise trip and 500 dollars.

    So I thought first off, no way! That isn't going to cut it. Now being resonable I obiviously want a refund plus 5 free cruise trips.

    If your hearing the stories of brown water, urine overspill into the hallways, human waste spillage, blazing heat, sandwiches that consist of tomatoe onions & lettuce.... I'm a rough & tough kid but I draw the line when someone else's urine touches my feet.

  • Clark Howard was interviewed on CNN yesterday and said that when you take a cruise, you sign a piece of paper tha basically says, "...you are on your own and promise NOT to sue if almost anything bad happens on a cruise." He said what Carnival is offering is actually beyond what they are legally obligated to do. Figures.

    I'm guessing as long as you aren't in a foreign country this would never hold up in court.

    For one they don't get paid all that well to sit in that hole and if you think fighting for our freedom is nothing then I have lost some respect for you. Shit breaks, period it happens it is man made, I have been on a Carnival Cruise and if that happened so be it I knew that shit breaks and that is the risk you take by going out on a man made machine, if you expect me to feel sorry for these people you are sadly mistaken, you sign off on the possibility of this happen. If a plane goes down because of a mechanical error and KILLS everyone do people sit here and talk about that and how the family should be reimbursed, nope and there is no difference between the 2. You think all the workers on this Cruise ship are going to quit, not a chance because they are aware it CAN happen. I think getting your money back, a free cruise and 500 dollars is more than fair, (Maybe a little more cash but not much more)

  • True but it also depends how long ur in, you can make more money not joining and going to college, my buddy was im for 8 years went to Iraq and made shit for money it actually blew my mind when he told me what he got paid, the other things if u use them and if you stay for early retirement are much better than the pay, but regardless of that argument I still don't feel sorry for the cruise people it happens

    You don't feel sorry for them cause you weren't there. I don't feel sorry for them either BUT look at the picture I painted & imagine wasting 6 days of your life (on top of that 6 days of your vacation time) putting up with the conditions I said.

    Now how would you personally like to be compensated for it without some smart ass Kate Uptown response or some redneck Merica freedom eagle wings think of the troops response? I said 5 trips and all would forgiven. What would it take for them to give you for 6 days of crap?
