Got busted in my room for drinking last night

    And even if they hadn't answered the door, they would have eventually came in and found it, and then you would have been in bigger trouble. We got caught because some moron decided to turn the music up too loud and my roommate (I didn't pick the loser) was already being watched because he sold drugs out of our room and they knew it.

    hijack Speaking of drug dealers in IC...one time after coming out of Brother's after bar close on a Thursday night, I'm nice and smashed, some kid randomly walks up to me and says "hey man you looking to score some blow."....I was so drunk it took me a while to realize what was going on, and then no I think I'll be ok

    This reminded me of when some friends and I got pulled over in IC . My friend got a possession of mj ticket. Well a few weeks later she was like IC cops are the best because she hot her pipe back in the mail. Maybe that's normal but we thought it was pretty cool.

    My friend got a receipt for his pipe. Basically it just showed how much it was worth, but those pothead cops kept it.

    Well, he also sold to his frat. They got busted a few years ago, him and 4 other guys got arrested, and their house lost it's charter (delta upsilon).

  • I got busted drinking in the dorms when I was underage and got arrested. Bail was $1100 (only 10% had to be paid), had to do 25 hours community service, had to go to alcohol classes, meet with the dean of students, and was suspended from the baseball team. It sucked.

    I think they're not allowed on campus for 5 or 10 years, then I think the process can get started to allow the chapter back on campus.

  • Always annoyed me back in school how campus security would do anything they could to bust kids for underage drinking, but they never stopped the serious crimes (sexual assault, theft, etc) that happened from time to time.

    And from my experience, most RA's will leave you alone if your door is closed and you aren't making too much noise. That's crazy that they went out of their way to bust you guys.

    It honestly wasn't loud and I've had multiple people tell me that. I was told that I got a noise complaint for music, which was much quieter than I have it during the day. I agree with you 100% on the serious crime thing too.

    They had the real police working/training the campus cadets that night. So basically we got busted by other students and they had they had the real police arrest us.

    I'd often have discussions with him with a mixed drink in my hand, and I wasn't nieve enough to think he didn't know. I just kept the beer in the room.

    Lol, got to love the "noise complaint for music" excuse. More like they were walking around the halls and felt like being a-holes that night. Used to happen occasionally here at the Lodge but the new management changed security services to some much more "leniant" people which makes it more fun for us. Have been drinking out in the "common areas" here which is not allowed here and if they even say something to you it's just, "can you take that back up to your apartment please?" and then they proceed to walk away.

    The new security is one of the better things about the Lodge, granted I think it's way too expensive and I'm moving out when my lease is up.

  • Well, I lived at mayflower so it wasn't so bad because I cooked my own food alot of nights and only had to share a shower with 3 other people. I was supposed to room with a buddy soph year, but he decided over the summer he wasn't coming back. Luckily, my 2nd year my roommate was cool. But he left at semester, so I had the room to myself 2nd semester.

    I don't regret it too much, I met my wife there and a lot of friends lived on my floor.

    Yep, I had a friend ask the girls below if they would file it and the one girl right below is at home and the other was sick and asleep all day/night. I'm going to ask the hall coordinator about the noise complaint.
