Nah I have no problem talking about it. Basically I started a thread to have an open discussion about the problems of the iPhone app. I posted the issue that I had about not being able to start new topics. I more or less started it as for others to talk about issues as a way to draw light to it and it could be passed along to see if I could be improved. So a couple other posters chime in with a couple technical issues they had noticed. 100% honest about wanting to keep that thread positive and just try to help improve the app. Well tom decides to post in the thread basically saying that instead of starting a thread, to stop being so scared to email him.
I reiterate my point to him that there are going to be things in the app that I have not used and might have bugs that could be fixed. Heck the lounge coulda had issues, but as a non member I would not know. I also mention that a app with a bunch of bugs does not reflect well back onto his site.(which is true)
He posts back again calling me scared to address it directly with him. Basically showing me that he didn't read what I wrote about having others bring up issues they are having. He goes as far as to post a link to the apps developer as posters we should contact the developer instead of him doing it.
So this kinda bothered me but I was planning on letting it go. If he wants a broken app to reflect his site, so be it. Well a couple posts down, someone wrote asking if anyone was having luck with the link Tom posted because it appears to be broken. Well my next two word post about the link being broken sealed my fate. I quoted it and responded with "go figure".
I haven't emailed him since it happened a month ago, and have just left it alone. I occasionally lurk, but not near as often as when I was posting there. So I swing by here now a couple times a day. Get some damn traffic and let's get this place going

that sour attitude really doesn't shock me. i'm sure tk is a nice person in real life but as a mod he has gotten really touchy and pompous. i think hrot has really gotten to him and to be honest i think he wanted a certain core group of posters banned so he didn't have to worry about us even though i contend that 99% of our posts were PG. and the other 1% were PG 13 and acceptable 2 or 3 years ago. it seemed like at about the time wouldjas were banned the moderation really cracked down. that's what ultimately caused many in our group to post stuff on dead sites.

Yeah I was about 300 posts from 10k when I got the hammer. I got away w/ a lot on that site, that's why it shocked me when I was banned for something on a totally different site.

That didn't bother me so much as when I made a new handle to post on HROT (which I never broke the rules on, at least nothing that deserved a hammer), TK banned that, too. Granted, I made it a few hours after the first handle was banned, but that handle is only banned on HROT, a site I did nothing bad on.
Then, I emailed TK a month or so ago apologizing and asking for an un-ban, and I didn't get anything in return. I did forget a subject on the email, but I would still think he read it.

I think this is somewhat true. Hawk in SEC land (or something like that) swears a lot (although the words aren't that bad) and constantly gets into the personal attack area but his posts are never even edited for the language. I can see one or 2 slipping by, but it happens frequently.

Yup. I had a handle I only used on our "road trips" over there, so when this handle got the hammer I started using my other one. Posted for about 2 months with it. One day I said something over here, and posted the same thing over there and within 5 mins my other handle was banned over there.

I believe Sec knows most of the mods. But don't act like we didn't get away with anything there either. I may be putting my OiT hat on. But it honestly wouldn't surprise me at all if Kakert was going for more of the political crowd and hammering the other posters, so they will end up here. TK seems like a good guy if you agree with him or not. Personally as mods go I like our very own Todd Worly the best. You never really saw TK around. Todd is out amongst us and especially on the main board(still think we need a better name for that board) interacts with everyone and is very active. It also helps that he is smart, tall, and good looking. Now I didn't pay over at Rivals so maybe he does on the pay board, I don't know.
