Formula One racing

Is anybody into this? They're building a track here for a race next month and I had no idea what a huge deal this sport is. There's a 24 person luxury suite on stubhub for 194K. People are renting out houses for 20 thousand a night. Granted, those are nice houses, but still. I kinda wish I would've gotten tickets now that I know how huge it is.

I went to one when I worked for Casey's I got to go. It wasn't bad but we had a cool suite and people bringing us drinks so it was fun I'm just not into racing at all.

I've been to most types of races. NASCAR, Indycar, NHRA, etc. Never been to F-1. It's traditionally been more popular in Europe, but it is gaining some steam here in the states.

I've always enjoyed watching it. Never seen it live.
Cars are absolute rocket ships. The tech on these cars is mind blowing. And that sound.... Completely different level than any other racing IMHO.

The technology is amazing and the drivers are talented, but it is hard for me to get into a motorsport where only a handful of guys have a realistic chance of winning a given race. For instance, Schumacher won a lot of races for Ferrari because Massa (sp?) blocked for him and was not allowed to win on his own.
If the tickets were free, it wasn't too far to travel and the weather was nice, I would go to one.
Life is hard. It's really hard if you're stupid.
