Off Topic Board

I did my gutters a couple years ago. It was a breeze. I only have a one story house, no way would I have done it on a 2 story house, but that's mainly because I don't do heights.

I've never paid anyone to do anything at my house, but I've also never done anything real complicated. The biggest job I've done is pull up all my carpet and stain the concrete floor.

I need to do my kitchen counters, but I'm not entirely confident that I'm handy enough for that.

I have completely remodeled both the kitchen and bathroom at my house and done hundreds of other DIY projects. There are also some things that I have left to the professionals. My roof for example. I am not afraid of heights, but my roof has a very steep pitch, so last summer I paid to have that done. My kitchen counter top was another item that I paid to have done. While I did everything else including installing the new cupboards, dishwasher, new drywall, new floor, new light fixture, etc. I wasn't comfortable, and don't have the finish carpentry skills needed to get the counter tops right.
