I loved going to the drive in. First with my parents as a kid and then with my friends or gf at the time as a teenager. Such a great piece of Americana gone. I would definitely go to one if there was one in town where I live.

We used to go to one in Cedar Falls when I was little. It's gone now I remember seeing one of the Rocky movies and a Freddy Krueger movie at it. It's gone now, I think the closest one is in Newton.

The last one I went to ws in Burlington, Ia. Closed now. Used to go to the one in Fort Madison (now a liquor store). I am sure I was not the inventer of the two cases of PBR and a couple of friends in the trunk, but I sure as hell went to a lot of drive-in (2001 was a real treat on the big screen) shows in my youth.

Newton is still around and was fairly close to where I grew up. I used to take chicks there back in the day. They loved it. Plus it was 2 movies for the price of one basically. I could bring all the booze/food that I wanted too. Good times. I'm not sure about any in the Kansas City area.
