Cribbage

  • We got any crib players up in here?

Gonna play in a tourney tonight. Should be a good time. I learned how to play this game about a year ago and I can't get enough of it.

  • I grew up playing it with my folks. I think I'm one of the few people under 30 that can play. I tried to teach my wife, she didn't care for it too much.

I didn't mean to hit the umpire with the dirt, but I did mean to hit that bastard in the stands. -Babe Ruth

  • I always hear people that don't play saying stuff like "sorry I'm not 50". Most of the people I play with are in their 20's and 30's,

I taught my wife how to play as well, She caught on fairly quick and we have fun playing it together.

Trying to get the boy to sit down and play some, His teacher has even told the class they should learn it, Great game for keeping those basic addition skills sharp.

  • I love to play. Play with my grandparents every time I see them.

Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.

  • I used to watch people play it all the time. The counting confused me because I had not idea what the hell 15-2, 15-4 and all of that meant.

Didn't care for what I was seeing and had no desire for the longest time to learn. Then the first few times I did try to play I was halfway in the bag and it didn't take. Amazing how fast you can catch on if you're not tanked. Once I learned I was hooked.

  • I love cribbage. I haven't played in awhile, but my wife and I used to play all the time when we were dating. I love board games (and pretty much anything else that's remotely competitive), but my wife doesn't; cribbage is one of the few games that she is willing to play.

  • I love cribbage, grew up playing it with the folks and taught my college roomates. Actually turned it into a drinking game during college, pretty basic, basically you pass out drinks when you get a 15, a 31, pairs, or runs during pegging. Also first to pass certain points on the board pass out drinks.
