Songs really don't get to me, don't know why, but they don't. But Cats in the Cradle was played at one of my best friend's funeral a couple years ago. My friend's dad picked it out
Damn, bet there wasn't a dry eye in there. My good friend played this at his dad's funeral and it usually gets to me a bit.
Track from the classic 'Late For The Sky' album from Asylum Records.
For A Dancer, Fountain Of Sorrow and Before The Deluge made this such a memorable album for me.
Ugh, this thread has taken a turn for the depressing. But I have requested that the following songs be played at my funeral:
1. Don't let the Sun Go Down On Me
3. Amazing Grace
I think I want them to keep the good times going when I die, so I think a good song to keep spirits up as a first song at mine would be this
A song from Team america world police !BY! trey parker & matt stone.
This tune always brings a tear to my eye.
Macho Man Music Video (short version) 1978
Before there was space or time there was rock and roll.
You all can hate me, but "God Bless the USA" is not a good song. The lyrics are predictable and cheesy, the music is lousy and in no way interesting, and Lee Greenwood's voice is awful. I'm not sure if anyone actually likes that song, or if they just feel like they have to or they'd hate 'Murrica.
Its the cliched "muhreca, luv it or leave it" anthem
