Don't read if you don't know what's currently happening in the show. Ok? Well that' just grand. So I finally watched the first episode the other night. And JS no funky comic book spoilers or whatever you were talking about.
I really liked Brommy's blog by the way. I'm kind of disappointed the mysterious hooded katana person, turned out to be some mother with a couple of zombie kids in tow. I had somehow envisioned that being a leader of some group that was in the prison. But it was just zombies in the prison. I really enjoyed the episode. And I didn't even realize the people they found at the end were prisoners, like Brommy pointed out.
And seriously what happened to the black guy early on? Where the hell is he?
I'm just going to post Brommy's blog here as well.
Those were not her zombie kids in tow Maury. They are her pets. If you notice their arms are cut off and their lower jaws are gone so they can't attack. She uses them as cover when she goes out into the world...hence the chains. According to the comic (or so I have been told) the zombie pets are her boyfriend and brother.
I did notice that and wondered. But how could I have gotten that from the show so far? You and this comic thing! I don't want to know that stuff. I was guessing it was some family so it's not that big of a deal.
Well the title of this thread did state spoilers included
I figured they were her family. She seems like an interesting character.
"I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion" - Fran McCaffery.
This. They haven't explained it to the TV viewers yet so no harm, no foul.
In the comics, as I've gathered from folks who enjoy the show and have read them, she discovers early on that they provide her cover due to their scent. That's how she's able to freely walk among the dead.
The people who read the comics have a major hard on for Michonne.
I'm beginning to like T-Dogg. His higher amount of action in this season is neat.
Thoughts on last night's episode. Didn't have much time today so this isn't the greatest rundown.
I've never watched the show (don't have much time for TV anymore. there's a bunch of show I've heard are really good). I just saw Mr. Brommelkamp post in this so I wanted to say hi Todd. You should post more on VOTHOT. Earn the HBC badge.
And you call yourself a med student! How the hell are you going to protect us poor civilians from the virus that causes the zombie apocalypse if you don't watch The Walking Dead?
Hell, I haven't seen the last few seasons of House, either. And I've already bought them. They're sitting on the dvd rack collecting dust with the last season or 2 of Dexter.
Just got done watching the last episode. And I'm really curious as to who was watching old lady cut up that body out in the yard. I was hoping it was Ninja and blondie but it doesn't look like it from the preview of the next episode. Pretty good episode and I kind of hope they add that crazy mustache white guy to the group. Every group needs one of those guys.
Wow, the governor is a creepy dude! Michonne is on to him though.
Yeah, he is.
He's a idiot. What kind of dude kills a bunch of army guys like that in that situation? I know you always gotta mind the sausage ratio & the mouth to food ratio but trained killers that can watch the gate...........
Next week looks good. Somebody screws up at the prison
I think he did it for 2 reasons. 1, because he knows that a group like that could easily take out his band of trained misfits. 2, because that's his main way of collecting weapons, ammo, food, and supplies. It came off to me that it wasn't his first time taking down a well stocked group like that.
No question he had his reasons, but the biggest reason is he's an idiot/crazy
He had some decent trained killers. Plus whatelse they could, he killed that helicopter pilot. Just seemed dumb. I would've took them in and gave them a wall to guard. In stead we got typical dumb blondie following the wrong man again.
Yeah dude is a total whackjob. Andrea really likes her whackjobs.
How long until the prison group and Andrea and Michonne meet up, inevitably reuniting Merle and Darryl?
What do you think will happen?
I think Darryl kind of likes the group and likes that older mom that keeps hitting on him. Merle is a head case and probably will want to murder Rick and I dont think Darryl will be too cool with that.
It will be interesting. Darryl will be happy to see his brother but I dont think he'd go for being one of the Governors puppets. I also dont see Merle fitting in with Ricks crew. Its going to be a war regardless, Governor is a headcase.
If it goes along with the comic I will just say things get very interesting. I love this show. I have never read the comic but I was curious about governor and looked him up
Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.
I like the storyline of the Governors crew running up on the prison to take all the supplies. Rick's crew fights them off and in the process, Daryl offs his own brother during the fight. Then bangs the older mom lady out of grief.
It got real tonight. Season finale sorts of real.
No doubt! 2 main characters died tonight. That was a shocker.
