Brad did you forget your pills again today?
Here is my point I think he is an average quarterback, I don't hate him at all honestly, my thing is no matter what you say to Homer, he just makes up a different excuse, the last few years yest Dallas did not have much as far as team support however I went back to 08 and forward and that was not always the case, 2008 was almost a wash the O and D were about the same league wise, in 2009 (I am just going off scoring points for now) Dallas D gave up the 2nd least amount of points, yet scored the 14th highest total. So it was not always the case of no d or no o line or the planets didn't align right or the sky wasn't the right shade of blue, Homer is just a troll and you can't talk to him about anything because he always thinks he is right. But that is my piece I am removing myself from talking any sports with Homer from here on out.
Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.
I haven't been on pills for over a month
Yeah it takes a lot of the right pieces to align to win a Super Bowl. But I guess Minnesota fans wouldn't know anything about that huh?
And I never said Romo had no blame in all of this. But the blame he has gotten has been blown out of proportion quite a bit IMO. That year with all the pro bowlers and the playoffs you were talking about earlier was the year Crayton had a huge drop. IDK how Romo gets the blame for that either but here we go again everyone wanting to blame Romo.
Bottom line is I'm happy he is with Dallas and apparently everyone else is too because you guys seem to think they can't win with Romo. So time will tell and we will see what happens down the road. I am really curious to see how Der and other Dallas fans who hated Romo responded to this deal. I'm guessing they are switching their favorite team now?

"Way to go Jerry Jones....You "fudged" up again" was a fbook status from one of my Cowboy buddies.

And Brad that's really immature calling me Homer and not talking sports with me. I mean really? No need to take the internet that seriously. So we disagree? Who cares? I guess I will take a break and study sports more seriously so I can be on your level.
Didn't you have a romo hating Dallas friend? You asked him if he is going to switch teams? I seriously think Dallas loses some fans over this which I think is pretty funny.
Yes, he's a Cowboy fan that hates Romo. He understands football. No he never thought about switching teams.
IDK about that. Romo is quite the lightning rod and an easy target. I don't know if your friend is expecting a Manning or Rodgers type of qb in Dallas but that just isn't going to happen. Hopefully Dallas will actually start to run the ball and not throw the ball as much as they did last year. They were trying to play like Romo was Peyton Manning, they can't do that.
They should be able to play like that giving him all that money. Highest paid Cowboy ever. That's ridiculous.
How so? You saying Troy Aikman should have gotten 20 million a year in the early 90s? Or who else on the team should be paid more than that now? QBs are expensive these days. And if he doesn't play the last 2 years of his contract it only comes out to 15 million a year.
I never said i am smart at sports, you just refuse to give any credit to any valid points and then when someone does give a valid point you back pedal and then start running your mouth. Are you any better than I for your last comment? Nope. And you are a homer, you are with the Hawks and you for sure are with the Cowboys, and being a Homer isn't really a bad thing, it is good liking a team that much but it is just hard to have a "valid" discussion with one when dealing with their team. And as far as not talking sports, well if fish is getting sick of a bickering I am not going to do it anymore plain and simple.
I haven't given any credit because I haven't agreed with any. What valid point do you think I should have agreed with? Hell I have given many points here nobody has really responded to or said yeah you have a point there.
Wrong I said you were right the last 2 seasons about not having anything to work with. And if you can't say he had a team around him the year they won a play off game then you aren't even worth talking to and why should I give you any credit when you think you deserve it and you give us none.
But here is my point Drew Brees won the Super Bowl with a bad defense, little to no running game and a so so line. Romo can't do that he isn't that good. And as far as winning with a team around you, well of course look at Trent Dilfer, he sucks and he won one. So is Romo good enough to win with a team around him? Well of course he is.
I explained that was the year of the big Patrick Crayton drop. And that was a long time ago under a terrible coach. Garrett isn't much better but he has this year to prove himself. And yeah Romo isn't Brady, Manning, or Brees I never said he was. But he is near the top of the next level of qbs. And it goes the other way too. Eli isn't that great but he won 2 Super Bowls because of his defense so people tend to overrate him. Yeah Romo has to have a team around him, what do you think I've been saying?
People give quarterbacks way too much credit when the team wins and way too much blame when they lose.
Can't disagree with that at all. And like I said I would take Romo over Ponder so that means a little something right?
I mean I guess. Not much though.
The only thing Ponder has is age. If you want to win now no way you take Ponder.
Fish would you take Romo now over Dalton? Say you can get Romo for nothing, not a trade or anything, would you bring Romo in to start now over Dalton?
I agree. It's still not saying much though because Ponder basically sucks.
There are a lot of starting qbs that suck. Romo isn't one of them.
