Bar none. I saw him in Carver, without a band, just a piano and I was amazed. I love his music. He is by far the greatest musician of my generation.
Elton John Dont let the sun go down on me live at Montserrat.
Love me some Elton. I saw him and Billy Joel together when they did their first tour. Great show.
That had to be awesome! I love the piano...I used to play and love piano music and to see two giants of that genre had to be fantastic.
I enjoy Mr. John's music greatly.
That's Sir Elton to you Wolf.
Madman Across the Water is one of the best albums of all time. Newer stuff is awful.
Yeah I like him too. He's a pretty good gent all around. He helped Leon Russell get his mojo back. Greatest musician though, I don't know. That covers a lot of ground including everything from country to classical.
He is a talented guy though.
I forgot. I loved his first big hit, which I think was This songs for you. And then pretty much everything after that.

They did a documentary about Elton and Leon Russell not too long ago that was good. I saw Leon Russell not long ago at a small venue. Very good show.
I guess it's part sentiment and part fact. I was 6 years old when Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, debuted. I'm 49 going on 50 now and Elton John is the one major musician that has been popular and still going strong through every decade of my life! That includes all genres.
Yeah, but you're still just a youngster at heart.
Let's see, I've seen Elton in concert 3, maybe 4 times. Great singer for sure.
And I've got a great joke about Elton's 'family', however,
I'll have to save it for another venue, shall we say.

Love me some Elton, but I have aslways felt Erik Clapton was the best musician from my era (1963 and up), Stevie ray Vaughn was another great musician.
Upvoted. SRV's blues album with Albert King is magical.
I saw him last Spring here in Augusta with the full band, including a couple of guys that have been with him since the early days. He put on an amazing show!
Life is hard. It's really hard if you're stupid.
I was just looking at my Facebook page for the first time in a while and noticed I posted this video a long time ago, with the caption "Don't try this at home". Because of the piano playing he did.
