Mr. "I play hard when I want to" thinks he's the greatest receiver of all times? I wouldn't have him on my team. He never made the tough catches over the middle where he was going to take a hit, and the Vikes grand experiment of using him as a kick returner briefly was an epic fail as he ran out of bounds to avoid contact. Sure he's fast and can outrun most of the d backs, but he's never been a team player, and always opted to NOT catch the ball if it meant he was going to get hit. When you're such a POS that you get kicked off of a Bobby Bowden led FSU program, that's saying something right there. Dream on Moss, you don't hold a candle to Jerry Rice.
Whats greater than great? Well, if you ask Randy Moss: Its him, Nancy Gay says. San Francisco 49ers Randy Moss: Im the greatest wide receiver ever
If he had Jerry Rices work ethic, personality, humbleness. He could have been better too much of a douche and I agree he is not better than the GOAT
I would and the 49ers got him as a steal. I don't think he's the best but he's close.
He really isn't close IMO. Greatest deep threat probably. But there are a bunch of other wrs I would rather have then Moss.
He's close. Plus it's a subjective topic. You say Rice? I'd rather have Calvin Johnson
I would take Carter, Irvin, Calvin, Julio Jones, Andre Johnson, Marvin Harrison just off the top of my head before Moss.
That's your opinion.
Moss on the outside is a serious threat, and if I could have three wideouts he'd be one of them.
Pry take Calvin, Welker, Moss
Tell you what I'd like to see on Sunday.
I'd like to see Sean Considine or Ed Reed light him up on a crossing route.
'Texan by birth, Hawkeye by the Grace of God'
Make dumb comments and full of himself? Yes. POS? No!!!
The dude is a huge philanthropist. Back where he came from and and communities that he lives in. Maybe he could talk himself up for being a good person, but he doesn't. I have only heard one story on it a long while back and there was so much he did and gave, but he doesn't like the media to talk about it. If he wanted people to know about it, you would hear about it all the time.
So I will have to disagree on the POS comment
Guest post By Cousin Daisy One assumed the West Virginia country boy, retired – now unretired
The guy has walked off the line if the ball isn't coming to him rather than running his route. Do not want.
Greatest ever? Are you effing kidding me? There's another guy who used to wear the 49ers uniform who disagrees.
Yes he was a great deep threat. But he really wasn't that great of a #1 wr. Yeah he had 1 great year with Brady and a few early on in his career. You can't even say someone like that should be even in the talk among greatest ever.
Truth be told...I saw Randy Moss this morning. But then I flushed!
I can & I did. It's an opinion and I get to choose.
Moss to cut the top of defense
Calvin to do everything
Welker in the slot
It's my opinion like your opinion that Smith was better than Sanders. Hell, I'm going to say Jim Kelly is a top 3 QB. Suck it.
Dat's raciss, yo'

Not sure why I also linked it there, but I can't get rid of it. Damn you 247 software!
What the hell do you know? You sit behind the "desk from which a thousand indecisions were launched"
-Hawkeye Pierce in reference to Henry Blake's desk.
Boy you are hard to amuse today.
Yes I get that. But the point of this thread was Moss talking about himself being the greatest ever. He shouldn't even be in the talk.
Not even in the top 10
You think Terrelle Owens is. I personally think Moss was a great wideout that never had a good QB or right system.
You say he doesn't I say he does. It's a difference of opinions. I'm done defending it
I never said TO was. It's pretty clear Moss played with no heart. I will take a guy like Michael Irvin any day over Moss. Irvin did whatever he had to to win. He may not have been as physically gifted as Moss, and he may have partied it up on Saturday. But he gave everything he had on Sunday. He was a winner. Guys like that, Jerry they win Superbowls. They are winners. Moss isn't a winner. He may get a Super Bowl win but it will be as a 4th string wr.
Plenty of great players didnt win Super Bowls. And yes I remember one time you had an internet boner for TO's stats he broke.

But the greatest ever do win Super Bowls. And no I hated TO. He had so many big drops for Dallas.
Which Romo got blamed for might I add.
