I understand Riley standing up for his player, but what Ainge did as a player is totally irrelevant here. LeBron's the most referee-coddled player in the history of the league, and for him to complain about the officiating is extremely embarrassing. Ainge is 100% right here.
Jordan never flopped. The fact Lebron has such a size advantage on everyone else and still flops is embarrassing frankly.
I think everyone - especially star players - flops to a certain extent. But I agree that LeBron flops much more than Jordan ever did. However, I think that's more of a result of him knowing that the refs will reward him for doing so. If the refs didn't always bend over backwards for him, then he probably wouldn't flop nearly as much.
I know I've said this before, but I like Shaq a lot as a person, but really wasn't a big fan of him as a player. As good as he was, I thought he massively underachieved due to a mediocre work ethic, and constantly made ridiculous basketball-related comments.
Beno Udrich from The Magic is killing the Bulls now. Who?
It's ok The Bulls won. Lakers vs Grizz tonight? I might have to check that one out.
Lakers win. You guys got that 8th locked up Lovey. I told you homey!!!

Nice play by Wilt there. Russell's hands might have been a little tired from his 11 championship rings, something Wilt didn't even come close to.
Yeah that's true. Honestly the Hakeem thread a while back made me look up Wilt a bit more. The fact he can dunk it left handed so easily like that is kind of crazy. It's still hard to compare older players like that for me.
If nothing crazy happens in the final few mins, LA lost a big one today. I think it might put them .5 games back from the 8th spot.
Hey at least you guys lost to a good team, The Bulls lost to freaking Detroit. I still think you guys make the playoffs.
Idk, Utah has the Tiebreaker
Looks like Artest is gonna return tomorrow night. 12 days after knee surgery.
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Psychological issues aside, he was an outstanding player on both ends of the court in his prime. But at this point, he's much less consistent, so I think he drags the Lakers down a bit when he's not playing well.
I'll agree somewhat. I cringe every time he takes a 3 pointer, or tries to make some sort of crossover dribble to the hoop. However, sometimes he does make some huuuuge plays, and is still pretty darn good at defense. I want him back mostly for the defense. However, I just hope he's not trying to come back too early.
Tell him to talk to D Rose will you?
Understandable. For any team to win a title, just about every key player needs to be playing well, and that's no different for Lakers. If they want to make any noise in the playoffs (assuming they get in), Artest will have to be playing well on both ends of the court.
Exactly, they absolutely need him if they make it into the playoffs. That's why I hope he's not rushing back. Say he plays 5 minutes, and then messed his knee up. Then he's done for the season playoffs or not.
True, that'd be a shame if it played out like that. I would assume the Lakers would be smarter than to rush him back and risk him suffering a setback, but at the same time, these final 5-6 games are essentially playoff games, so I can see why a team wouldn't want to leave any stone unturned in that situation.
The Bulls had Taj come back early and get hurt along with Noah, but Noah's injury seems to be one that can't get any worse and just lingers unless he shuts down for a couple months. Still I would like to see Rose get back out there already, from what I have read it can only help his rehab. Playing in games seems to be his final stage in his rehab and he is keeping himself out.
