Lalalala can't hear you
Yeah that's who my brain was forgetting.
I've never been a huge U2 fan, but have always enjoyed their music. Seeing them live, though, was absolutely amazing. They had a stage that looked like an alien space ship. Look at that frickin thing! lol
Anybody that can play the guitar could tell you that his tabs aren't difficult. His vocals weren't amazing either. But collectively when you put everything they had, they had something unque to a generation.
Nirvana captured a generation of kids, tired of the same sell out routine. They didnt wear make up or use fireworks. They didnt need to make a love song as a rock band to make the charts. They weren't about fame and all its decadence. They were artist, not commericalist. What they made was art, not some hook for radio.
AC/DC is up there too, I would say Radiohead but I don't want to get in a long with Twib.
Kurt made eyeliner sexy...
For the most part, Im with Fish. But I do STRONGLY feel that their influence is now less than the-then lesser-known band of era: Pavement. All modern indie rock bands cite Pavement as their biggest influence.
But we are talking about opinions on music, it doesn't really matter.
A little off topic, but I recommend any Pearl Jam/Grunge fans check out the documentary Pearl Jam Twenty. Really, really awesome stuff there.
foo fighters .. you mean the mento sales guys ?
Looks like Skrillex.
They clearly bought stock in flannel shirts to make a profit, that is all it was. I call Nirvana the fleshbot of rock, it's entertaining at first but the you realize nothing beats the real thing
Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.
thisis real music .. i love it !!!!!

If I've learned anything, it's that this board knows almost nothing about music. Haha.

i love music elitists ... so smart and smarmy about what they consider 'good music' ... and everyone else is stupid ... good music is what each person thinks is good music ...
Are you serious?
I'm oughta this thread on that statement.
It's one thing to call the music bad cause your subjective ears would rather listen to "Cherry Pie" by Warrant but I'm not going to read you blabbing that they were posers puppets.
LOL .. the nirvana purists are such a joke .. if you don't kiss Kurt's butt they take their guitar and go home ..
Why is this post so easy to read???
What is going on? I can read this one too.
the more i drink the more efficiently i post. the past month i've been dry .. and not drinking ... good talk.
Come on dude even Tears for Fears was better than Nirvana, get with it.
Says the biggest Nickelback groupie of all time.
Haha, shut your face!
