Show yours here. I've neglected mine too long and I've started working on it. Hopefully some progress pics will keep me motivated and let my back know it's worth it in the end. And I like looking what everyone else has done outside, so come on wit it.
Transplanted a rose bush and planted 2 more today. Now it's off to deal with this mess of a front yard. The backyard is even worse.
I was going to start a thread once I actually get to do something.
The girls and I started some seeds inside. Sunday, I threw last years compost heap on the garden and started a new one. My older daughter picked rocks. It's rained/been 40 degrees everyday since.
I'll post some pics once I get it tilled and planted.
The will is not here, the will is at my office next to the hot plate with the frayed wires.
I think I'm gonna skip the garden this year. Maybe something in a pot, but I'm terrible at growing.
Going to do a lot of yard work this summer. I cant for it. We are going to plant a garden so hopefully it wont die like last year since we ran out of water. Ill post pics once I get started
mkillian247 on twitter..... I say a lot of stuff you wont care about.
ha ha, I'm just remembering in your smoker pics, the pots in the background with dead plants in them.
Oh yeah. They're still sitting in there dead. That's how lazy I've been. And they were peppers. I think peppers are about the easiest thing to grow.
ha ha, think of it as compost.
As always after the winter there is a lot of yard work to do. My yard always looks like after the winter, but I get it looking fairly decent. It's a lot of work though, and I've got so many spring projects to get done before my son's grad party. The weather here though is still cold and rainy so I haven't started anything yet, so no pics until it's respectable.
I've never been so happy to run out of leaf bags. Jesus I'm out of shape.
So do what I do. Get a leaf blower and blow them over into the neighbors yard.
My sister lived in the Chicago area for years. All you did was rake 'em into the street and trucks would come by and suck them up. I'd happily pay a little more to the city for that.
We actually have that in some areas, but not on my street. Fortunately there is a woodsy area at the back of my property where we can dump them and compost. The last few years I have been instructing the teenagers to do it. I have to get some work out of them for all the bull that I have to put up with.
It's not like teenagers serve another purpose. Plus they ate your last piece of pie.
They did do that. My youngest just got home from track practice dragging ass and I asked him if he was ready for a weekend of work...he just snorted and went to take a nap.
20 leaf bags and 3 snakes later, I'm ready to spread my seed.
Tried to get a creeper of some hot little ginger lady that lives across the street bending over in her garden, but it was too far.
plantedd a couple hundred tulip bulbs last fall and they are out and they are awesome rightnow.
Pictures man. Pictures.
Time to start on the back. This will not be fun.
still, UV for effort.
Brother you got your work cut out for you. I do as well here, and I've got a deadline. I gots to have all mine done before my kids grad party on June 8.
Give me a few weeks, I've still got 4 inches of snow on the ground....
Here is the back patio, and front of the garage. The next set will be the front walkway. The Rose Bushes are in the back yard. These are from last year, but when the weather cooperates it'll be the same again this year.
