Anyone see this, it is pretty ridiculous. And not too long ago it seemed like they were out of it, now all of sudden they're winning all these close games. Even our Laker fan McLovin said they were done..
Highlights from the Lakers very suspicious 2013 playoff push.
After an embarrassing blowout to the Clippers on February 14th, it seemed unlikely that the Lakers would make the postseason. Over the next month they went on a miraculous winning spree that pushed them firmly back into the playoff picture.
I like a good conspiracy, and I don't really like the NBA, so of course I'm on board with this.
My biggest problem is we need more evidence. A 4 minute video with 2 minutes of it explaining the bad calls does not make a conspiracy. The Lakers probably get those calls in EVERY game anyway.
That's dumb. If someone wanted to they could make a video like that for every team, showing missed calls and what not. Its no surprise the Lakers are finally winning games, new players, new coach, no training camp with the new coach, they're bound to start winning some time. But I'm not surprised someone made a video like this.

I really don't think every team would be able to make a video like this.

Yeah I don't think so either, I have a friend that's a huge Lakers fan and even he said he thinks it is a bit funny
I never really liked blaming the refs. Yeah they can impact games but all that video showed was players not making plays against The Lakers. And it really isn't that crazy to think The Lakers can make the playoffs. I said they could I long time ago. They have too much talent to miss the playoffs. Sure they may get some calls too just like The Heat did when they were on their streak but you should just play good enough to beat them and not have to worry about refs.
A former official was interviewed on ESPN Radio last year and explained that before games they would be briefed before games, shown film and told what kinds of calls to refrain from and which to call and whom to call them on.
The league needs the Lakers. And that is the bottom line.
They may gain TVs but at the expense of credibility. Soon we'll see more and more story lines and we'll have WWF. NASCAR has already gone that way.
