She's tryin to sell stuff.
Kobe Bryant is in a court battle to try to keep his mother from auctioning off mementoes from his high school days in Pennsylvania and his early NBA career.
"A good burn is like good sex. It's simple, to the point, and leaves your victim totally destroyed."--Kenny Drebsen
@ Kobe what's 200k to him?
True, but he also says he's given millions to his parents over his career. Plus his dad was a pro too, kinda makes it sound like his mom is just greedy.
It's almost Mother's Day buy her that house Kobe, come on. Really don't think he made much back then or now coaching in Thailand. I mean this is one of the richest athletes in the world and he is like, "Yeah Mom I will buy you a house but don't go above $250,000 alright?"
Well I guess it depends on how many "millions" he's already given them. Plus it's not like they're moving, it's an "additional" house for his parents. If he's given his parents let's say, over 10 milliion over his career, then I'd think he's completely justified. If he's only given them a million of his career earnings, then it makes him look bad.
A normal mother would not sell it just because he asked her not to.
From what I can tell she did it before he knew. She probably thought he didn't care about the stuff. Yeah she doesn't look great here but come on he should be able to have a good relationship with his mother. I don't know the whole story but I don't get why he can't get along with his mom. And if he has given her a ton already I'm sure that will come out at some time if it hasn't already. But there is nothing else to really go on, I just think it's funny Kobe is being cheap like that to his mom.
I don't think he looks bad or cheap at all. I could see if she was done storing it at her house but then most mom's would ask their kid first. Or you would think just because he is her son some of this stuff would have more personal value than she could sell it for. If she does sell it, he should get the money. I would never sell my kids things and feel good keeping the money for myself and I'm broke.
Like previously stated, if he's spent millions and millions of dollars on her in the past, he's not being cheap right now. If he's given her hardly any money, then he is being cheap. Just because your son makes millions, doesn't mean you automatically get money whenever you demand it for an "additional" house. You said yourself, nobody knows the story.
I do know that's his mother and there is no reason he should be arguing about money with his mother.
If he had given his mother millions and millions of dollars, and she still wanted more, he has every right to argue with her about it. It's his money. Like I said, just because your kid makes millions doesn't mean you get money whenever you want it, especially if he's already given her millions of dollars. Parents can get greedy too ya know.
If, if, if, truth is Kobe is fighting about money with his mother. Are you saying his mom is some kind of crack whore like Dez Bryant's mom?
If Kobe's selfish he got it from his mom.
No, but I guarantee you his parents are more than financially stable. If she wants to sell his stuff that's fine, but the money should at least go to a charity, not to funding for another house they want.
If Kobe is selfish?????

Kobe isn't even a raper.

IMO charity is overrated, they can do whatever they want with their money.
