Three part question. +
Who has attended a collge or Universty in Iowa?
Who has graduated?
And above and beyond, did you like it?
University of Iowa Class of 2009. Med school in DSM. I loved my time in IC and miss it everyday.
Graduate in 2009 from the University of Iowa, and as Wolf said I miss Iowa City everyday
University of Iowa, Class of 2013. I haven't graduated yet, but I'm 1 semester away so, close enough. I love Iowa City, but there are tons of things which I would change if I could.
Sine Missione -- Never be a spectator for unfairness or stupidity, argue for arguments sake; the grave will give plenty of time for silence.
Currently at Iowa until 2015. Some days I'm in love and its a love that you share with a dog. Other days I hate everything about it and everyone I see. I over all enjoy it though, its definitely where I want to be out of schools in the Midwest.
"I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion" - Fran McCaffery.
graduated from u of iowa in 2011. i enjoyed my time there, but i'm glad to be done with it
I attended SAU, Iowa, and graduated from UNI. I loved Iowa City. Too much. That is why I transfered. haha. My GPA really suffered the year I went to Iowa.
I did my undergraduate at UNI and, since my major was economics, it was a way better school for me than the other state schools. Since there was no graduate program, all of my classes were always taught by PhD's and the upper level ones had very small class sizes. I enjoyed it a lot, but didn't live the normal college life since I was 25 when I started my freshman year.
I attended law school at Washington University in St. Louis - a pretty highly-ranked school. But law school sucks.
Life is hard. It's really hard if you're stupid.
Iowa class of 2010
After M.I.T., came back to Iowa and got my
Graduate degree from Thee University of Iowa.
Officially a Hawkeye and couldn't be more proud of that fact.
'Texan by birth, Hawkeye by the Grace of God'
I did my undergrad at Northwestern College in Orange City and did my grad degrees in SD and ND. If you dont know NWC, its a small private liberal arts college. It was a great place for me at the time. Being a small school I had lots of opportunities for student leadership, ran cross country, and great connections with the faculty (which really shaped my desire to teach at the college level too). I've looked at returning to Iowa for their PhD program in Religion...I'd love to live in Iowa again...close to family and I'd actually get to see the Hawks play!
Opps, I forgot to mention I am a University of Iowa grad myself. Those were some of the best years of my life so far.
Great thread here. Really enjoying reading everyone's story.
University of Iowa, Class of 2016.
Not sure whether a party featuring Der, UI and KingIowa would be incredibly fun or incredibly scary...
I graduated from UNI in 2003 with a Marketing Degree.
I love the friends I made there, but if I did it over again I'd choose a different school.
The will is not here, the will is at my office next to the hot plate with the frayed wires.
I've met King, but not UI so I don't know the answer to this other than there would be heavy alcohol consumption.
This is probably pretty accurate.
That's what I figured! All three of you are good guys, and I'm sure you could get after it.
BA Nebraska Wesleyan University (Lincoln) in English (1967)
MA U of Iowa in English (1974)
PhD U of Iowa in Educational Administration (1984)
Rock Rapids, Iowa native who is a die hard Hawk fan for life!
Nobody would be sober until at least a couple days later.
I'd put money on that one!
How about you Todd? Get kicked out of any Iowa schools?
This is pretty interesting. Funny what people will tell you if you just ask isn't it?
What are you still doing up Todd? You have a lot of work to do tomorrow.
Nope to which one?
You never got kicked out of school?
Or you don't think what people say in response to a question is funny/interesting?
I'm guessing #1.
I was referring to #1. Sorry for the confusion.
