I'm gonna be buying a grill this weekend. I'm leaning towards a charcoal one. I've got an old crappy gas one now, and it's time to part ways with it. Any recommendations for good charcoal grills? Don't need something really expensive, but also don't want anything real cheap either.

The only answer is Weber.
all men should have a weber charcoal
Well then maybe I should get a weber charcoal
nice brah. I'm getting a new grill soon too. I'm getting the weber performer platinum.
I'm not a purist so I have a nice weber genesis gas grill. Absolutely love it.
Ask 01. He got a Komodo charcoal grill. Looks legit. If you are gonna spend Weber prices then this is just as good if not better
hoping he'd pop in.
Webers are nice but overpriced. I'd have a good grill if my crap piece I have now wasn't free
There's about a $700 difference there.
Komodo to Weber? Uh...no
You thinking BGE? His Komodo he said cost 650-700
And you can get a Weber charcoal grill for $100
Charcoal you are right perk. Weber propanes are where they get pricey. But the Genesis is seven bills
Whoops. Sorry to derail. I'm not a poor though ;)
It's cool. Perk loves me
Yeah they are pricey. They're probably worth it too from the couple times I've used them.
This be Perk
I have a Webber and also have a gas grill i bought from Lowe's. I use them both but for different things. I like to do chicken on the Webber.
With the gas grill I sometimes put a couple of Kingsford brickets on the bottom for the charchol flavor. Works great. I like the even heat of the gas better than the hit and miss of the charchol.
There is no right or wrong with bbq.
Before there was space or time there was rock and roll.
Another derail but I'm breaking out the smoker tomorrow. Have a pork shoulder roast ready to go. Woot. Can't wait
What kind of smoker?
Hehe, again not a purist. An electric thing. Don't remember the brand but it works!
Whatever works. It's still more fun than using the oven.
I have a Weber propane that I picked up at a garage sale for $75. They only used it a few times and it just sat there so they got rid of it. It was actually the neighbor taking care of the sale (it was a couple houses combined), so I doubt the actual owner would have sold it for that.
I need to stop by garage sales more often.
