Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.
Hunger wasn't really an issue until I got home, when I normally have a salad or a snack, it is hard not to do that.
This morning was terrible, had a cucumber, spinach, and celery, and it was blah.
For lunch had two apples and two pears with a bit of ginger, not bad at all
Ok so I just made the mean green, really not too bad
1 Bulk of kale
4 Stalks of celery
2 granny smith apples
Ginger root (thumb sized)
I am not a big fan of celery, but the apples and lemon help this out, much better than the one I had this morning
On day 3 and feeling really good. The only time tough time the last two days was right when I would get home from school, once I made the juice and had it, I was fine
I'm officially finished, but I had a smoothie for breakfast this morning, so I haven't eaten anything yet.
I had a head cold the entire time I was doing mine, so I can't say whether it made feel better or worse.
I bought some brussel sprouts to try. I was unaware they can cause stomach cramps.
The will is not here, the will is at my office next to the hot plate with the frayed wires.
haha, yeah I am learning things about a few of the vegetables
Good work, Buck. It definitely takes some will power.
II have had a couple handfuls of peanuts here and there, but nothing else
I might start one next week. There are some toxins in my body that could kill a horse.
I learned yesterday that red cabbage contributes to extreme flatulence. Even the kids were complaining.
I have regular cabbage I am going to use later, I read cabbage in general does that, it helps to clean out your intestines but can cause some gas
How did it end up going for you Buck?
I went for 5 days, think I could have went longer, but it was just getting to be too much of a hassle.
How do/did you feel?
Everyone said that their energy levels were great, I guess mine went up some, but I didn't notice a huge change there. I never really felt bad while on it. I did notice that when I got off it, it helped make me full quicker. Guessing my stomach shrank some while doing it, which is a good thing
Huh. I was bouncing off the walls. I even got a little depressed when I went off of it and got some headaches so I would just have one a day along with regular meals for a while.
One thing that I noticed was that I had heartburn for the first few days after I got off it.
I didn't feel a surge in energy either. But I was used to drinking a pot and half of coffee a day, and completely replaced that with smoothies during my 4 days, and I never felt sluggish or tired. So I probably just replaced the energy generated from caffeine; and without the late afternoon energy dip.
