Fish.............so, what you're saying is that I can Jump-in here, anytime?
'Texan by birth, Hawkeye by the Grace of God'
Have you played with the LC9 at all?
Would you think that's small enough to fit as well in all & every pockets?
Personally, even though it is still pretty small, I don't think of the LC9 as a pocket pistol like the LCP. I have never carried an LC9, but for the extra size, you can get a Glock 27 (.40) or a Glock 30 (.45) and have a much better weapon and a lot more stopping power. They are both considered subcompacts as well but, of course, you will pay twice as much, too. If the extra money is not a problem, you may want to consider one of those. I carry my 27 in a Galco Ankle Glove under Dockers and it is invisible.
Life is hard. It's really hard if you're stupid.

also if you look at the first few snowfalls of the season, and see how dumb people are when trying to navigate their way through it, it is one very strong reason why I do not want more people exercising their 2nd amendment rights in a crowded public area
I've considered getting a carry permit at some point. I don't worry about myself, I worry about all the barney fife, cowboy wannabe types with one.
Serious question-to get one, do you actually have to prove you're safe with your handgun and a proficient shot?
All you have to do is take a class on gun saftey which they usually go over laws as well. Take that certificate to your local sheriffs office, allow two weeks for them to do a background check & you'll be certified.
To renew your license you can either do another saftey course or go to a range and show your proficient. Again take your certificate and reapply to the court house.... Every 5 years. By getting your conceal weapons permit you no longer need to get 'permit to buy' meaning you can buy handguns.
Could you fit a LC9 in 85% of the pants you wear? I like the saftey feature the LC9 has vs the LCP but if it won't fit in most my pockets.....
How long did it take you to get good at shooting your LCP? I've seen the sights and heard about the trigger pull, so I'm worried that target shooting at 25 yards will take a long time.
Also I know you said hornady, have you ever checked out the Ranger T 'talons'?
I would rather die by the bullet of a person trying to take down some crazy ass pyschopath any day of the week. Holmes had nobody trying to stop him, anybody arguing that they are more likely to die in this situation because somebody else was shooting back at him has no grasp on the situation that took place. Fuisu I'd have your back I just need to get around to getting my conceal permit my Dad just got a Glock and loves it he just target shoots however he is planning on getting a permit as well.
So the first time around you don't have to prove you can hit what you aim at?
No but some classes make you.
If your going spend 50 dollars on a half day class, drive to the courthouse to pay 20 bucks on your background check, go back to the courthouse 2 weeks later, spend 300 dollars on your handgun....... well I figure you'd pry buy an extra 100 rounds to shot with & become proficient. It's your second admentment right do with it as you please like your 1st admentment but I hope for your life you become good with it & never have to use it vs just owning one and having to use it but failed to do so correctly.
While true, you don't find it a little odd that it's not a requirement to prove you can shoot accurately? Hell I'd like to see them take it a step further and make them do it during a simulated stressful situation, much like the military does (hell I think that would be kind of a fun way to end the class).
I realize that those with permits usually shoot as a hobby anyway, but I still find that odd.
It's a right, not a privilege. Your entitled to it like your opinion or pursuit of happiness.
You have a right to freedom of speech, yet can't yell fire in a theater. You have a right to consume alcoholic beverages, yet can't do so until the age of 21. You can lose the right to own a firearm if convicted of a felony.
Just because you have a right to do something doesn't mean certain terms and conditions can't be outlined.
Do you need a permit for that statement?
Obiviously you can't just say whatever you want like "I wanna kill........." but your 1st admentment right wasn't instilled so we could talk about the weather.
Tell me again where drinking under the age of 21 is in the bill of rights? You know the first 10 admentments. You know the most important ones.
Just cause Wolf thinks we all need to be trained with them Jarhead style, doesn't mean that the 80 year old widow lady that couldn't hit a target at 8ft away doesn't deserve the RIGHT to keep a .38 in her pursue to sleep comfortably at night in her shady neighborhood. See the point? We aren't talking takig away her driver license... Your talking about taking away the second admentment that her forefathers promised to her...... But than again, she's old and couldn't hit a target 8ft away so we should do some tyrannical act and take away a good standing citizens right.

Who says anything about taking away any rights. This is in regards to a concealed carry permit for a handgun, No one is saying she can't own them and use them in her own home. Forgive me if I feel proving safety and proficiency is a good idea as a prerequisite for a permit. What about another citizens' right to not be hit by grandma's stray bullet?
I'm of the opinion all of the Amendments (Save 19) were important. The ones granting suffrage to certain groups were more important than the one regarding housing soldiers, IMHO.
Blah blah guns.
(trying to get all the threads to be mine) muhahahaha. ()
